Apparently these guys have a big appetite, and they eat people. I actually got the idea from a friend that mentioned he had to soak in Epson salt for his sore muscles. And then I thought of all the bath products that are food based. Before you know it, you’ll be a soup.

O is for Ogre
N is for Nymphs
ok This one was kinda tough. I don’t draw women much, and on top of that this alphabeasts thing is geared towards kids. But I realized I hadn’t done any female characters. I also had to make it whimsical. It took me a few tries and I made the nymphs less human like. So hopefully this is tastefully done.

M is for Mummy
I had a few choices. Mermaid or Minotaur. I had to go with something that could lend itself to something like the others. so here we go, a mummy with an embarrassing toilet paper issue.

L is for Leprechaun
This one isn’t too beastly. But hey, they are mythical, and not human. I always felt a special kin to these guys, being a short Jew. I got my pot of gold, in my mattress not at the end of a rainbow.

J is for Jackalope
I knew I wanted to do a Jackalope. Why not. But the hard part in doing these drawings is figuring out what they are going to do. I have to find something fun that goes with the rest of the drawings. So why not have a Fudd of a hunter chasing him.

I is for Imp
I’m not sure if this is fair. This guy is a character of mine for a story I should really work on. This is Streak, and in the story we start out with him in his office.

H is for Hydra
H was tough. I wasn’t sure what I should do. I figured Hydra would be good. I’ve seen a Hydra on land or even with wings, but I followed the sea serpent path. I only did 5 heads, but you can have more with a hydra. And why not put it in NYC.

G is for a Gargoyle, Grim Reaper, Goblin, Ghost and Ghoul playing “Go Fish” in a Graveyard
When I saw G, I just couldn’t choose. There were soo many choices. I had to narrow it down, but then there were still a lot. So here we go. We have a Gargoyle, Grim Reaper, Goblin, Ghost and Ghoul playing “Go Fish” in a Graveyard.

F is for Faun
I thought this would be original since it wasn’t on the mythical creatures list… but Henry said he did it before I got to it. Well at least I’m in good company. I liked this drawing but I wanted to have some whimsey in it. So I figure that these creatures usually play a flute or something that maybe he wanted to play guitar, and that StoneHenge were really amps.

majaNATION is the brain child of Jonathan Rosenbaum... that's me. I am in first person, I just can't escape that. I created majaNATION as a place to show off my creative work. I have illustration here, but I also have some story ideas and just odd stuff. Check it out, make comments or just contact me... I don't bite, at least since I got those shots.
