Originally I was going to do the Very Hungry Caterpillar. I had it on my list for the longest time. Then I got to thinking… it’s really Caterpillar, so that’s not a V. My wife thought of this one, and I think it works great.

T is for Tintin
Tintin is one of my son’s favorite characters. Which also made this one a challenge since I had a tough critic. He approved it, but still doesn’t look exactly like him. Well, it’s still in my style, so hopefully you recognize him.

I had to do Stellaluna. My wife insisted. I didn’t mind since I got a soft spot for fruit bats. I especially like those sky foxes.

Q is for Queen of Hearts
Q is a really hard one, especially if I wanted to stay with the children’s book theme. Now the Queen of Hearts is good, but I also did Alice for my A. Hopefully you’ll forgive me.

P is for Peter Pan
I was trying to think of something to do. I was wondering if Pter Pan would be to obvious, but I tried to do an illustration based on his personality of a timeless boy that is a hero.

O is for Olive
You know the other reindeer. I am a big fan of J. Otto Seibold’s style. But even though his style is unique, I wanted to still continue with my style. Hopefully this keeps the spirit of the original.

N is for Nancy Drew
The interesting thing about this one was how to show a character that has been around for a long time and doesn’t have too many distinct physical characteristics. Hopefully this did the trick.
